為充分配合教學與研究需求，並避免資源浪費，本系乃成立圖書小組及設備小組，委請學有專長之教師擔任委員，負責規劃圖書、電腦及視聽器材之管理及增購事宜。與本系相關之圖書及視聽器材大多集中設置於本校中正圖書館、社會科學資料中心、語言視聽教育中心及電算中心，但為教學與研究方便，本系另自設有圖書室、視聽室、器材室、電腦室、會議室，及口譯教室等。

To satisfy the needs of teaching and research and to avoid waste, the department established the library and the equipment committees. These two committees are responsible for purchase and management of books, computers, and AV equipment. Most books and AV equipment are in the main library, the Social Sciences Data Center, the Language and Audio-visual Education Center, or the Computer Center. To assist those preparing for classes or conducting research, however, the department has its own library, AV Viewing Rooms, equipment room, computer room, meeting room and interpretation room.

圖書室 / Department Library：

現收藏英美文學、語言學及英語教學之圖書約壹萬餘冊、各式工具書百餘種、期刊十餘種。並設有電腦四台，以利上網蒐集資料。圖書室在圖書小組老師之指導下，由學生自行管理。

The library has a collection of more than ten thousand books representing English and American Literature, Linguistics and TESL, hundreds of reference books, and subscriptions to more than ten periodicals. The library is also equipped with four computers to facilitate information seeking on the Internet. Students manage the library under the direction of faculty members.

視聽室 / AV Viewing Room：

本系現有視聽室兩間----視聽室(I)及視聽室(II)，各可容納四十一名學生及二十九名學生。

視聽室(I)內設置：白板、電動螢幕一個、擴音喇叭四支，數位影碟機、錄放影機、擴大機各一台，及活動視聽機櫃一座(內含電視、數位影碟機、及錄放影機各一部)。

視聽室(II)內設置：白板、投影機、碟影機、字幕機、數位影碟機各一部，及電視機、錄放影機各二部。

The department has two AV Viewing Rooms-AV Viewing Room I seats 41 and AV Viewing Room II seats 29.

AV Viewing Room I is equipped with one white board, one built-in screen, four speakers, one DCD player, one VHS player, one amplifier and one portable cabinet for AV machines (including one TV, one DVD player and one VHS player.)

AV Viewing Room II is equipped with one white board, one projector, one VCD player, one closed caption decoder, one DVD player, two TVs and two VHS players.

器材室 / Equipment room：

存放磁帶消磁機、相機、實物投影機、手提單槍投影機、手提實物投影機、筆記型電腦、護貝機、翻譯機(transcriber)、幻燈片看片箱、活動視聽機櫃(內含電視機、錄放影機、及數位影碟機各一部)、電視、數位攝影機、教材提示機、數位錄音棒、快速拷貝機、幻燈機、投影機、腳架、攝影機、麥克風、小蜜蜂、錄音機十餘台、及各類教學用之錄音帶 、錄影帶、投影片等數百種，供教師借用，以輔助教學。

Used for storage of magnetic tape degaussers, cameras, portable visualizers, portable LCD projectors, notebooks, laminators, transcribers, slide-viewing machine, movable cabinet for AV machines (including one TV, one DVD player and one VHS player.), TVs, DV cameras, direct projectors, digital voice recorders, dubbing machines, slide projectors, overhead projectors, stands, cameras, microphone, tape recorders and hundreds of tape, video tape and slides for teaching.

電腦室 / Computer room：

本系設有電腦室一間，共存放九部個人電腦、噴墨印表機三部、及雷射印表機一部。

The department owns a computer room in which there are nine PCs, three ink jet printers and one laser printer.

會議室 / Meeting room：

本系設有小型會議室一間，約可容納二十五人。

One meeting room which seats 25.

口譯教室 / Interpretation room：

八十二學年經「教育部人文社會科學教育改進計畫」之經費補助而成立，位於語視中心二樓。內有多項視聽器材及同步翻譯之精密儀器，可容納約二十人。內含翻譯系統主控機、翻譯機、語言教學主控機、錄放音機、實物投影機、電視機、影碟機、影碟機用字幕機、攝影機及錄放影機等設備，並有電腦八部。

Subsidized by the Humanities and Social Science Education Improvement Program of the Ministry of Education, the interpretation room was constructed and is located on the second floor of Language and Audio-Visual Education Center. It is equipped with many items of AV and simultaneous interpretation equipment and it seats 20 people. Equipment includes translation primary console, transcribers, language teaching primary console, tape recorders, visualizer, TV set, VCD players, DVD decoder, cameras and VHS players and eight computers.
